Building The Pet Motel & Salon is a fully heated and air-conditioned indoor kennel. Our ceiling fans and exhaust fan system ensure that your pet receives constant fresh air circulation and the kennel is well lit with artificial lighting as well as two skylights that provide natural lighting. Feel free to tour our facility and experience for yourself our immaculately clean, comfortable boarding environment!

Accommodations

Dog Accomodations Each dog is boarded separately in runs that are 3 feet wide and from 7 to 10 feet in length. Each run is separated by a sturdy concrete wall, providing a calm, private space for each dog. We also have several runs that are 5 feet wide and 10 feet long for customers with multiple dogs that board together. The kennel floor is concrete which allows us to maintain a sanitary environment for our guests.

Bedding

Bedding Each dog run is uniquely equipped with a raised platform making a cozy place for your dog to rest. Washable bedding such as blankets, towels, or fleece mats are permissible. Covered beds with foam or stuffing are not acceptable.

Exercise

Exercise As part of the routine at The Pet Motel & Salon, all dogs boarding in our kennel are taken outside to our exercise area to use the bathroom a minimum of 3 times per day. Exercise Our exercise area is a fenced in yard at the side of our building which is 10 feet wide and 50 feet long. Dogs respond well to our schedule and thus use the bathroom in their runs less frequently. There is no extra charge for this service; it is our philosophy that your dog cannot have a clean, comfortable stay in our kennel without being allowed outside at least 3 times a day.

Food

Each dog is fed once in the morning. We feed dry Member's Mark Exceed Perfomance dog food with chicken and rice mixed with some canned meat and warm water. Most dogs love it, but you are welcome to bring your own dog food to be fed according to your specifications in order to keep your dog's diet consistent. Please prepare your dog's own food requirements in individually portioned sandwich bags. Please do not bring in a bag of dog food.

Vaccinations

All dogs must be current on rabies, distemper, and bordetella (kennel cought) prior to boarding. Dogs must be at least 4 months old to board.
